In the old testament Yahweh says there is none beside him, and Jesus talks about and to Yahweh like he's a separate person. I don't know where people got the idea that they were just different aspects of the same guy.
There's over a half dozen separate and distinct deities in the Old Testament. Most of them were just the emperors of the dominant empire at the time the particular fairy tale was made up. It's like the dummies in Indonesia who claim that their local mountain deity got pissed off because some tourists got butt naked on his mountain so he caused an earthquake in May that killed some of the local yokels to show how offended he was. They are on a par with the dummy Pat Robertson.
