The Reasons why "Just Following Jesus" Doesn't work

To the best of my understanding, Jesus prays to god because Jesus wasn't originally actually god, just the son of god. That was added to the story later about him being god. They forgot to take out all the things that make no sense like him praying to himself. Daft, I know.

You pray "for my salvation", what does that mean? I get the gist, but what change are you hoping for? Are you trying to get me to do something different, or god to do something different? Or trying to affect someone else? I assume you are asking for some sort of change, or else I'm just as unsalvationed as before. I already blasphemed the Holy Spirit really badly so I may be beyond salvation.
