Nice way to selectively read my post. I wrote it in that post you chopped up, and then again in another post, how God communicates. Not listening very well today, are we?
Are you talking about this platitude of an answer:
Quote:There is a more effective way in which God communicats with us; it's called life.
Seriously? "Life" is how "God" communicates with us? This makes no sense at all. How is "life" a way of communicating with us?
I always find it amusing when believers want to tell me that the most brilliant being in existence chooses to "communicate" with us in ways that are vague and confusing. Yet, I can type out a message here that is clear, concise and easily understood by anyone.
Quote:Oh, and has your atheism succeeded in planting even iota of doubt in our brother's mind about his and 'his brood's' beliefs?
We've never had a discussion involving religion. I'm sure they wouldn't want to start one because they wouldn't want their kids to hear what I might say. They always praise "Jesus" before eating and I ignore the blessing while I butter my bread. Once, one of the kids pointed out that I didn't pray with everyone else. The mother just shushed him and told him to eat.
And anyway, what is your point here? That believers are hard to deprogram? No kidding. When you're raised to believe something it's hard to admit you (and probably your parents) were wrong. Try convincing a devout Muslim that his beliefs are wrong. Does this mean we should all live under Sharia law?
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
