It might be inappropriate but that's not calling out. Not by what the forum rules state, and not by any understanding of 'calling out' I've heard of.
Also, I don't see why what you said should be against the rules at all. I'm all for whacking spammers and getting rid of trolls, but if the forum was just a place where everyone boringly had 'civil discussions' that were always on point and topic, my god, leave me out of that thanks.
