Quote:You are incorrect in your assertion of me. When my husband and I got married, he was still a college student, and I had a restaurant job. We didn't start making any real money until my husband joined the Air Force as a pilot 3 years after we got married. Our reason for getting married had nothing to do with financial gain because neither one of us had any money at the time.My assertion? LOL, you know...since I never said anything -at all- about financial gain, this response seems strange.
Quote:Um, if my husband cheated on me (which he never will, btw), the last words to come out of my mouth would be: "but how could you cheat on me? We had a government contract!"I doubt that very much, however, just as above....it's not much of a response to -my- comments.
I'll say it again, there's no reason to be pious, particularly with me. You both enjoy and benefit from the contract, it is important to you, or you'd not have entered into it. Pretending otherwise in service of this little narrative cheapens both god and the relationship you've agreed to. If you want to be silly about it, and set up a little rankings list, I'd be willing to guess "but you promised -me-" will occur to your mind before "but you promised -god-", and that's okay.......
