So, writing style and evidence to the contrary, but mostly writing style. Seems a strange litmus test of truthfulness to me.
Hmm, if writing style is an issue then Richard Carrier holds that the NT is written in exactly the style you would expect from mythmaking/storytelling, rather than reporting history. Not a good sign for expecting facts out of it.
