Just as a sidenote;
When you get to basic training in the Air Force, Lackland AFB, I could stand in my back yard, throw a rock and hit the base. You'll be my neighbor for that short time.
For good southern home cookin' within walking distance from your barracks, go out the Valley Hi Dr. base entrance/exit, walk down to the Burger King at loop 410, behind the BK is a little strip mall. In the back of the mall facing the HEB parking lot is a little place called Mama Celest's.
I may have spelled that wrong, but you'll find it.
