I can't argue with statistics, as it's one of the most important factors of logic and reason. That said, poverty as well as the isolation of races and backgrounds are primary reasons for these statistics. I'm not afraid to reveal my race, so as a mixed young adult growing up in a somewhat privileged neighborhood, I haven't directly seen gang violence. But with that said, you can't simply assume all black people that grow up in that environment will fall victim to or be the perpetrator of crime. There are succesful businessman and athletes that grew up in that environment. Those are just my opinions though.
