There is an afterlife but as i said in another post you atheists will not realise until you are either saved and confess your sins by another christian or die and be judged by god. i am self aware but i do not fear death, as when i die i will be with my heavenly father in heaven.(October 27, 2008 at 10:53 am)Mikethechristian Wrote: Hello, first of all hell is not a threat, it is a consequence of not worshiping our heavenly father. Also this happens after you have lived not during it. For all you know there is no afterlife? i find this humorous as not one of you have witnessed death and therefore saying that you know having not ever experienced it is just foolish. Thinking being an atheist is "safe" when you are living through sin may seem ok but you will not know how "safe" it is until you enter the afterlife and be judged by god. What evidence do you have to support the claim that you go into some afterlife? Nothing supports that claim. You have never seen this afterlife so how do you know about it?
The thing is, it's your belief not mine. It's just a belief/hypothasis. There is no evidence for any of your claims.
Sin is just a concept, God is just a concept, afterlife is just a concept nothing more.
So, the chances of there being an afterlife is EXTREMELY improbable. When you finaly close your eyes you will vanish into non-existance. No conciousness, no dreams no memory. Just gone!
I don't fear death, I do not fear hell because I don't believe in such a place. I will vanish into non-existance and I'm very happy with that. So will you vanish.
Death is just the end of biological function. It's as simple as that. We are just selfaware biological lifeforms that fears its own end.
It's not hard to understand death.
