So, are you stupid enough to not immediately understand that I was proposing an actual human being saying something, and not a magic voice? Or are you just being a deliberately obtuse sod in order to strawman me?

I'm saying that you can't paint waiting for someone to die, and then doing nothing while another person suffers, until actual people come and do the hard work of rescuing the baby, as heroic. You say the guardian angel saved the baby, but what did the thing actually do? It didn't get the baby out of the wreckage, it waited until someone real had already spotted the wreck, and for rescue to be on the scene, before it even spoke up... what part of this is "saving" the baby?
Moreover, if you have the opportunity to save someone, and you don't do that because someone else told you not to, you're an asshole, not an angel.
