The effect of that is, unfortunately for today's christers, to lessen the impact of the sacrifice of Christ.  Day and a half was all He could take, and He only saved 144,000.  If He had been made of sterner stuff he might have salvified half a million.

Not that that would improve Drich's odds much . . .
