I'm glad someone is out there suing these self-righteous scumbags.
I am too. But it's ridiculous that it should have come to a lawsuit. The school district was notified of these abuses and did nothing. Only after it was clear that the school board and the administration continued to tacitly condone the teachers' ongoing conduct was the lawsuit filed. And the result? Local taxpayers are on the hook for the cost of the settlement, and the teachers are to get "training" to avoid future problems. Training . . . because reading and comprehending the 1st Amendment is so fucking difficult. Goddamn pushy Christians trying (again!) to have it both ways: ram their beliefs down the throats of others -- in this case, young children -- while feeding off the public teat.
Yeah, "self-righteous scumbags" sounds about right.
Both teachers and the principal should have been shit canned but weren't. I certainly hope the folks whose property taxes are going toward this settlement have enough sense to vote out the existing school board at their first opportunity. But it is Georgia, so I'd be surprised.
