Somebody hasn't tried a high dose of LSD or DMT. Hallucinations can be INCREDIBLY rich, vivid, and complex and drastically change people. NDEs are no different.
Indeed.
The fact that NDE's have these attributes; richness, clarity, complexity, and how dramatically they change the lives of those who have experienced NDE's, does not mean that they are actually experiencing a glimpse of an afterlife. All this proves is that they have different attributes that other types of hallucination experiences than non NDE hallucination experiences.
And yes, my experiences with mushrooms and DMT had all the same attributes that Neo-Scholastic describes related to NDE's, including changing my life.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
