Somebody hasn't tried a high dose of LSD or DMT. Hallucinations can be INCREDIBLY rich, vivid, and complex and drastically change people. NDEs are no different.
Might be time to fire up the magic bus and pay someone a visit? Call it an intervention.

I don't believe for one fucking instant that they actually saw a real afterlife, though.
I'd be willing to bet that whatever slim portion of nde stories are credible reports of an actual experience still contain significant exaggeration and, shall we say "mis-remembered" narrative arcs.
Not to mention that confabulation is how the brain remembers. We assemble parts and declare the victor based on the one that feels right. Given a xtian background and enough youtube, guess which will be declared the memory of the actual NDE (not dead experience).
