And warm men to him like the sun warms flesh. And as the suns light melts snow as any doubt would be melted away. But this light could not be shaded no shadow no hole not even depths of the earth could block this light. If god showed up . A real good perfect benevolent god then you would feel him . And like a man sitting by a warm hearth after a long day in the snow you would be love and embrace it.
If Satan showed pure evil pure malice pure hate .You would know his malevolence it would bite and sting like the coldest frost. It would cause men to flee from it seeking warmth . It would cause men to shield and reject it's mere presence. It would not lure men to icy death . But cause them to insulate themselves . And no heart no matter how dark could stand this cold this chill and they would plea for warmth . And then a good perfect benevolent god like the sun in spring would provide .
I know what you are saying, that what you see is is what you get, goodness would be appealing and evil obviously not.
But from the very beginning, the whole drama with the conflict between good and evil was that evil hid itself under the image of being righteous, warm, beautiful and perfect, etc.. I'm pretty sure you know that getting charmed doesn't prove the truth.

No, he disregarded SDA teachings, in the aspect of fanaticism, just to start with.
It is typical of strays to slip away very gradually - unknown to themselves and others.
I don't know the full story of David K, but it wouldn't be the first time an SDA went off the rails. Take Harvey Kellog for example.
