We know when we read a book or look at a painting that these things had a creator, because we already know that human beings create these objects. Everywhere we turn, we can see evidence that humans write books and paint paintings. There is no evidence OTOH that human beings, or any other forms of life, were designed. When theists come here thinking they’re arguing for intelligent design, all they’re actually doing is demonstrating their fundamental misunderstanding of the scientific underpinnings that best explain the diversity of life on earth. You’re going to have to do better than an argument from ignorance or personal incredulity.
The point of the analogy got through alright.
Intelligent design can only be appreciated by people who have allowed the Source of intelligence to bless them.
This is circular reasoning: ‘I know life is designed by a god because god told me that life is designed by him.’ This is the same fallacious reasoning as, ‘I know that the Bible is the word of god because it says so in the Bible.’ You have some work to do here. 1. Provide reason and evidence that a god exists. 2. Foster a positive case for intelligent design that doesn’t rely on misunderstanding science, or appealing to what you think seems obvious.
Quote:God is the source of knowledge and wisdom.
Unsupported assertion. Also, you need to provide reason and evidence that he exists at all before you can make any assumptions about his attributes. Maybe god exists, but maybe he’s an idiot, and very naive.
Quote:In the case of the rebellion in heaven - intelligence was used to subvert the truth about God. Things are no different in this world.
Once you have built a strong and convincing case for god as well as intelligent design, then you can work on building a case for the existence of heaven. I’ll wait. 😏
