It's still on the property and will be a regular this summer. I will continue to transplant hosta to the deer trail in hopes of having any roses at all.
Border your rose patch in bleeding heart, marigold, and sage...with an irregular row of woody perennials- if you can. Managed ground covers (like hosta) and well manicured lawns draw them in.
What kind of roses? Pics - theyre pets too.....
