No, pal. They don't. We could've called quarks, gluons, bosons, cartesian coordinates, carbon, einsteinium... etc. something else. All these labels and constructs are ad hoc choices. You're asking for a prophecy containing modern specifics close to these ad hoc choices, and I explained to you that this prophecy is useless to people hearing it.
In brief, you're asking for something logically impossible - a valid prophecy using modern specifics and understandable to people who lived before these specifics were even created - and you complain when you don't get it.

And the hadith refers specifically to the fact that people will compete in building higher and higher buildings in a specific area -what nobody had any damned clue about. Back then, they usually competed about conquering the largest lands, or winning poetry challenges. I really don't know what Muhammad could've said more to make this prophecy clearer to you, while remaining intelligible to people hearing him back then.
Humans are NOT the most important species on this planet. We are just one of billions of species. We are not even the only species that has learned to use tools.
Octopi are pretty fucking smart too.

And considering cockroaches outnumber humans. And have been around longer than the Koran/bible/torah, Vedas ect ect ect... Everytime I try to kill one in my house, seeing it freeze feet away, then dart like a baseball player, hockey player, NFL running back, NBA player, while I do get some, far more get away.
I forgot what nature show I saw it on, but the host said it best, "Humans are good at being humans, but we are not good at being penguins".... ect ect ect... meaning any other life.
What does it mean to be able to build Skyscrapers, or to even write Shakespeare, if we are not smart enough to accept we are an invasive species? The species causing the most damage to life right now are humans.
I value the good in humanity, I always will. And of course I would not want to go back to the days before modern medicine or modern communication. But we are the same species that has managed to create so much plastic, there is a giant island of pollution bigger than the state of Texas floating in our oceans.
As smart as our species is, we are a victim of our own success at the same time.
