A medical worker in a small town is making above minimum wage, yet a burger flipper in the neighboring city can make more?
Of course.
In a small town, prices are naturally going to be lower. You don't need to make as much to live. In the city, more money is needed to adequately survive.
In the end, it's essentially all about location.
Granted, however, there is still a discrepancy conservatives are unwilling to address, and that it is the pure stupidity of retail capitalists raising their prices when the people are allowed to make more. It doesn't solve a damn thing if we're not fixing the socio-economic divide.
