I ask, because this is the category that I’d put Christian belief into explicitly.
In actuality, and per the Holy Bible - all humanity was in fact lost in principle from the fall of man - which essentially meant a death sentence (not only of the physical body which we clearly see everyday around us, but also of the soul - the second death) - Revelations 21:8
Frankly, it is a marvel that GOD would not only reverse this sentence on behalf of many undeserving (not all), but willingly do so at such Personal expense/suffering to Himself in the Person of the Lord JESUS, the CHRIST - GOD Incarnate. (John 1:14).
I truly wish everyone this - the only Way of escape for many good reasons, including that "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living GOD" - Hebrews 10:31

"For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!” - Ezekiel 18:32
The Fall Of Man was a set up. Adam and Even were punished for eating from The Tree Of Knowledge Of Good And Evil. Until they ate the fruit, they had no possible way to understand that disobeying God was wrong (or evil). So, we were all punished for nothing.
This punishment is the moral equivalent of beating a two year old child for failing to solve a differential equation.
