I realize that my post you responded to can easily sound like whataboutism, and I regret that and it is fair to call me out for that, but I was just trying to put the past several years into context. Things have been crazy all around. I didn't mean to imply that the sky is falling and that Antifa will be the end of the Republic or anything like that. And the rejecting of election results was already happening when Trump won and the media pushed the unfair election claim for years on end, although of course it's worse to actually invade the Capitol, but again, it's not clear that there is going to be long-term damage to the Republic because some people broke into a building, and Trump's approval rating dropped big time after the events of January 6th, so hopefully whoever comes after Trump will realize that what Trump did by riling up his people on that day was moronic and he just shot himself in the foot, and hopefully there won't be a repeat of this.

There was nothing Dems did that even came close to The Big Lie or Jan 6 so this is all just whataboutism and bothsidism and no neither Trump nor his merry band of lunatics has learned anything. They will do this again and again and again and again.....
