As far as the topic at hand, like I've posted before, I think President Trump himself contemplating a state of emergency over the election results is a holy shit moment and is something that scares me far more than one police officer at the capital being killed, which I'm sure was a nightmare for his family, but in the bigger context, it's being blown up 1000 fold for political reasons, and I'm sure with the midterms coming up, people have realer, more close to home issues to worry about in their daily lives.

You're forgetting the four other Capitol police offices who killed themselves after what they saw on the ground on January 6. Four of them.

I'm aware there were pipe bombs planted. That's not good. As far as the people invading the capitol, you can't laugh at how much of a joke Q Anon Shaman is, and then at the same time act like he and the others were an actual threat to anything in the big scheme of things. So yeah, the threat level to democracy was zero. Deal with it. None of us here like these politicians in the capitol, and we probably all agree that they're a bunch of cunts, or at least 99 percent of them are, so yeah, they're not exactly the most sympathetic bunch, and I'm not going to cry tears for them. Look at their approval rating as a group. I disavow what these cook rioters did, but it's clown world if we're going to make a big deal about this every year on the anniversary like it's 9/11 or Pearl Harbour. No. Just no. Again, you can say that I'm understating what happened because "but.. but... but.. teh Q Anon Shaman wanted to end democracy." I don't care if the man wanted to take over the whole damn galaxy. There was still zero threat to democracy or the Republic.

It's easy to say that now because A) the Capitol was successfully evacuated in time, and B) the actual chest containing the delegate votes was saved. If either or both A and B were not true, blood would have been spilt and it absolutely would've had an immense impact on our democratic election.

What do you think would've happened if the rioters had successfully cornered Pelosi or other politicians in their offices?
