Absolutely. They could hang each other by the nuts from trees and we wouldn't give a shit.

That is highly unlikely. I don't think you really understand how this works from our end.

Unlikely?
Secterian violence, or the US army going back?
I'm still wondering why the US army invaded Iraq in the first place, not that I'd be surprised if it'd go back there again...
How it really "works" from "your end" does not really matter, since you probably didn't have much of a say during the invasion, let alone to have a say if they chose to go back to "stabilize" the area again.

Sure.
Part of the plan, brother, part of the plan.
The US didn't "invade" Afghanistan the first time either, but supported the Mujahideen that fought the soviets there.
I'm no fan of the soviets, nor communism in general, however the soviets would have probably transformed Afghanistan into a much better country than it is now.
However, now it's infested, both with NATO soldiers, and rogue remnants of the former lackeys of NATO, the Taliban.
Properly destabilized during the soviet-afghan war.
Iraq is going through the same thing right now.
Without a strong leader, the whole place is a fucking madhouse.
Maybe that's why there are circulating maps of an even more divided middle east.
The grand middle eastern project.
DO NOT WANT

Wrong again, kilic. I get to vote. It's pretty neat.

We won't go back there any time soon. We can't afford to fix the mess that is the Middle East.

There were massive demonstrations here in the US when that war was begun... and consistent opposition throughout....

No one who mattered to Bush and his cronies. They invented lie after lie and a sizable percentage of the population still believes that Saddam had nukes.

Try to understand the stupidity level that is going on over here thanks to FOX News - the Ministry of Propaganda for the GOP.

It's comparable to the stupidity going on over there.

By the way, I consider massive weapons caches used against civilians to be weapons of mass destruction. Those dictator types sure know how to kill a shit ton of people without nukes. I certainly do not agree with the premise, but there was some good done there, whether kilic or anybody here admits it or not.

Min; I think Dubya did what he was told, and made few if any important decisions.

I don't believe Bush had any say in the invasion of Iraq, although I think he probably BELIEVED it was his idea, via God.

Well, did I ask about any demonstrations that occured?
How well is the current "demonstration" going right now?
Who really hears of it any more?
Like a month ago, we were discussing the demands of the occupy wall street protests.
Now I don't see the damn thread on the first page.

By objections, I mean from the people that matter, not you, me, or anyone else.

Pffft....And how is that any of your business?
If anything, the US allowed for new pro-US dictatorship to flourish there.
And there isn't even a cold war going on, so the Iraqi side has nothing to profit from.
Besides, I can tell you now that any of the civil strife that happened in Iraq ever since the Iran-Iraq war had foreign hands, pushing it from behind, just like it happens in Syria right now, and happened in Libya aswell.
It's a textbook operation, simple as that.
And even if there were any good intentions the size of a corn grain, the road to hell is already paved with it.

Nope. They said "WMD"s, not even fucking nukes. NK has nukes.
Russia has nukes. Even Israel has nukes.
No one punishes them for it.
NK has put a blockade on the world. Not the other way around.
And I admire that to some point, seeing how developing/underdeveloped countries are being slowly taken over by worldwide capitalism.

Your vote is nothing but an illusion.
Besides, it's not really that the US tries to fix up and of the mess that it caused, it's not really profitable.
Not that you can't afford it, I know you can.
