Actually, the US is a secular nation and the first amendment prevents the US from establishing ANY religion - christianity or otherwise.

Neither. Don't be a fucking idiot, and use diplomacy instead. I know it's hard to wrap your mind around that fact that people can be different from the flag they fly. The middle east isn't at war with us- it's the terrorists in the middle east. We easily could have avoided those wars, and avoided bombing half of those countries into rubble if there had been fewer meat heads like you, and more diplomats.

That in itself is an afront to the constitution. That's like saying that just because something happened, it automatically has to be correct and moral.
Those words were added in the sixties, by the way, and were completely unconstitutional both now and then. Idiots such as yourself voted them to existence anyway. It really is tragic, that you'll destroy the country our founding fathers created in the hope of strengthening it.

It shouldn't matter what I prefer. I'm a godless heathen. What should matter to you is what Jesus would have preferred.
America is a piece of shit compared to other, more secular countries. That's not so much a matter of opinion as it is a matter of fact. You not knowing that tells me you're not well-read, or are in denial. If you want to be technical about it, America is not a Christian nation just because the majority of the people call themselves christians. This is not a theocracy, it's a democracy. Religion has done nothing for America aside from securing political power to those with private interests, and cause the rest of the world to hate us, because that's the divisive nature of all religions. Most of the Mexican population are christians, and yet they're not a "superpower". So it must have less to do with religion, and more to do with money, of which the United States is in horrible debt, to many of the countries you listed in your OP.

Before we start paying attention to what jesus said, let's first establish that he a) existed, b) was the son of god or god himself, c) due to a + b, therefore had credibility in what he said.
Because without that you can talk all day long about what jesus supposedly said, but it is meaningless waffle.
