I've said it elsewhere and joked with Deist about it, but if I'm at the gym and I see Michele Bachmann's face on the TV screen, the heart monitor on the treadmill or elliptical will suddenly spike. I'm also known for yelling at TV's. I've had to cut that out - people don't like it.

No seriously, I shouldn't have gotten so angry. Trolls will be trolls. But it does piss me off. Unfortunately, fundies, Fox news viewers and YEC's have a habit of completely re-writing history in favor of their God and completely forgetting their origins.

I think that christianities influence on society is far too great and for the most part a bad thing.

By purporting to have all he answers it stiffles questioning.

By pretending to be the ultimate in moral standards it prevents society from improving morally. (your take on slavery is an example of this).

Because people believe we are living in 'end times' they dont want to fix the environment and some seem to actually want to hasten the apocalypse!

Christians band together and vote for oppressive legislation because of their 'beliefs' which seem to supprt their prejudice.

It is annoying that people cling to these bronze age cultish beliefs in this day and age.
