Are you in favor or opposed to creating a new member award "Kook of the Month", an award of dubious distinction, awarded to the member deemed to have been most successful in defying all sense of logic and reason.

This award would be member-nominated and selected by a poll. Any member receiving nominations from at least two members is an eligible candidate.

Well, actually, I already get plenty of the warm glow of smug superiority from some of our resident theists. After all, THAT'S the real reason we let them hang around*. Wink Shades

Seriously: What an obnoxious idea. Should such a thing ever be implemented I will leave immediately. In case you lack the sensitivity or wit to grasp it,your idea is a form of bullying. I loathe bullies.

Why be polite?
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Because it's ethical. But really, if you want to ridicule the religious dimwits and that's fine to me. I simply want to make the Atheist Forums more friendly for intelligent theists here.

May I propose the new award - Asshole of the Month? Smile

An "intelligent theist" need not worry about getting the award.

Oh give me a fucking break. I don't think for one second the thoughts behind this 'award' are as sinister as you are making out. Learn to have a bloody laugh.

There's a thing you should look up padraic, it's called banter.

The problem with most theists in my experience is they take themselves too seriously. I think you are taking this way too seriously.

To call this bullying as well is also quite laughable.

Banter? Really, why we don't just dance around and award atheists as amoral homosexuals? After all, this is theist forums. Oh-hah!

My point is to keep the forum and contents of "award" more civilized and true. Perhaps I am taking this "disrespectful remarks as jokes" too serious, or it's just your bad taste of humor.

If this thread are pushing for less civilized awards that promotes bigotry, disrespectful remark and religious discrimination - then please lock this thread.

I think I could win this award, it wouldn't be easy but nothing worthwhile is.
Except breathing most of the time.
And walking, that's worthwhile and it's not hard at all.
Except if it's hilly, hilly walking can be tiring.
And dogs, dogs are bad barking at my fluorescent walking shoes.
Leaving dog poop all about that sticks to my fancy shoes.
Dogs can be good though, helping blind people get about.
Taking little barrels of alcohol to freezing in snow people.
But alcohol isn't good for freezing people.
You shouldn't share achohol with freezing people.
Not unless you don't like them and want them to die of organ failure.
My father died of alcohol induced organ failure in the winter of 1887.
I never met him, he died while my mother was pregnant with my older brother.

I better stop wasting this quality stuff until this award gets established.

And remember, vote 1 Pudding for Kook.
