Proposed Award - New Member of the Month

For your consideration -

Are you in favor or opposed to creating a new member award "New Member of the Month", awarded to a recent member who has made significant contributions to discussion at AF in their short time.

This award would be member-nominated and selected by a poll. Any new member (*) receiving nominations from at least two members is an eligible candidate.

(*) Qualification as a new member is a member who's first post is no more than two months in the past, or since the last award date (whichever is older).

While the votes in favor greatly outnumbered those opposed, there did not seem to be enough interest to justify pursuing this suggestion, so I'm going to withdraw it.
