was this the thread where i posted the video that says how the flood happened scientifically? if so did anyone watch it?
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Quote:1. if the hull is big and supported enough, it won't break.
Sorry to disappoint you but it's not possible. Wooden ships have limitations when it comes to size. Even steel ships have limitations, it's just that steel can handle a lot more force than wood. But steel was not available back then, just flimsy wood.
BTW, British designers and builders of the 19th century who had very advanced materials for the time and tons of ship building experience but wouldn't build anymore ships larger than 350ft because of structural failer due to exceeding the limitations of wood and yet you think a single man with his sons thousands of years ago built a 450ft ship in 7 days that could contain all the fucking animals and survive the brutal sea with nothing but flimsy wood?
Sorry but....that's not very credible. That is one heck of an extraordinary claim! You able to back it up?
Quote:2. it was a very different time back then and for all you know inbreading could have been possible without creating genetic disorders
Wrong, genetics were no different then as they are now. Inbreeding is fatal for the species, you want me to list the disorders? There is a long list. Zoos make sure siblings don't mate because of the side effects.
Quote:3. Noah had help from his sons. it was also theorised that due to the fact that there was water encircling the earth, there were ideal conditions for all animals and humans to live longer and grow bigger. so they theorise that everyone was a giant back then as compared to today. the reason for this is that the water would block radiation from the sun and create more atmospheric pressure. and no, Noah did not have to gather them, God did that for him.
Total BULLSHIT! Complete nonsense. You and your mates wanna have a go at building a 450ft boat in 7 days? I face palmed when I read the rest.
Quote:4. the site i provided stated that some Korean scientists did some math and calculated that it would be possible and such a boat could stand waves that are 98 feet high. do you claim to know more than them?
Until they build it and place it on the ocean and prove it I'm just going to point and laugh.

Not quite.
If that were the case, the top 4,000 feet of Everest would never recieve precipitation and would be bare rather than covered in snow and ice. Unless it snows upwards from clouds at 25,000ft - though somehow I doubt that
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

One thing I forgot to mention in the whole global flood thing was - Why would god need to flood the fucking planet clean for in the first place? Is he really that useless at designing and managing his own creation? Is he really that incompetent? Also with animals being thousands of miles away, it'll take them fucking ages to arrive at the boat. They need to eat on the way and I bet that by leaving their natural environments they would be going places that'll lack certain foods. Also venturing into different climates.
Total nonsense.

all your questions are typical. atheists often ask similar questions like "why did God put the tree in the garden and tell them not to eat it?" "why did God punish all of man kind for a mistake of a couple when he knew they would eat the fruit all along?" i think i've been told many things by people on this forum. "just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's not true."

It's very simple, if it doesn't add up or make any sense then it's most likely not true.
If I knew I was going to accidently knock off my cup of tea, would it make sense if I still knocked it off anyway even though I knew I would?

approach it from the view that God did everything intentionally. see if you can come up with reasons.
