Not that it really makes a difference but these are local market ads not the $8 million a minute network commercials everyone sees. Apparently at least some of the commercials in question are either already being shown in these markets or will be during the primaries anyway.

I suppose the point of these ads are to show that he's just as big of a whackjob as the GOP candidates?
And a great big WTF goes out to the stations airing this type of ad during what's supposed to be family-friendly programming.

So Jesus is coming to the dark side and eats baby foetuses?? Why would they want to associate their godboy with dead foetuses?
Very confusing for kids.

Mini rant time:
A lot of people were similarly outraged about Jenny McCarthy running anti-vax ads during the New Year's tv celebrations.
Why are we not running our own ads? Seriously. I don't mean on an atheist level, I mean on a pro-choice level. Getting out there and putting up ads explaining why someone is NOT a whore or a bad person. Same as I'd like to delve into why Americans aren't booting McCarthy and the organizations that stand behind her out on their asses for spreading fraudulent medical information.
I have to hope that we would be at least as likely to be run if money could be raised.

What I don't understand is that after 30 years of anti-abortion protestors displaying grisly images of aborted fetuses, why they don't understand that this tactic just doesn't work? I mean, if I see someone holding up a sign with a picture of a bloody fetus on it, it makes me want to look away and ignore their message, not to mention make me think they're a crazy nutjob for displaying such a picture.
Of course it goes without saying that many of these fetus pictures are faked. Most abortions consist of removing nothing more than a clump of cells that don't even look human.

If you read the article, Terry is apparently exploiting a loophole in the law which states that stations can't refuse to run ads for political candidates with 45 days of an election, and apparently primaries count as elections. If anything, though, these ads run during the Superbowl will make people wonder what's wrong with him running such a graphic and gruesome ad when children might be watching.
