Okay, this is really off topic now. . .
There's no guarantee Bin Laden was always in a cave. He was in a civilized compound when American soldiers found him. If he was in it then, I see no reason why he couldn't have been in a similar place any time in the past. Anyway, with computers, you can plan pretty much anything from anywhere you can get an extension cord to. Btw, America was not involved in the crusades. Those were just one more screw up in Christianity's history of screw-ups. What falls away is always, and is near.

The bhagavad gita was written well before the quran, aside from the violence, it's actually quite beautifully written, the artwork that goes along with it is fantastic. The same can be said for the Egyptian book of the dead, from a literary standpoint. Human beings are quite impressive in regards to their art.
Your proposal that simply because the authorship is nice that the author must be divinely inspired simply isn't true do to the magnitude of ancient literature that we have found that is impressive for the time it was written. Your argument is special pleading, and it simply isn't true. If Muhammad was deaf, dumb, and mentally handicapped, then actually wrote the book, that would be impressive. Some guy writing something well in the 7th century or later isn't impressive because by that point, they would have had an immense amount of other religious material to use for inspiration. You should read more about other cultures Zakir. The Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians had a wealth of spectacular art and literature.

Instead we are left with a host of deities who were violent, narcissistic, vengeful bullies who reflected our own values. Our gods could have been anything we could imagine, and all we were capable of manifesting were gods who shared the worst of our natures."-Me

Now, back to these points, which you have yet to answer. . .
1. You have claimed that popularity of a religion equals its validity. I replied that Christianity, which we both agree is insane, has more followers than Islam. Xtianity has 2.2 billion, you previously posted that Islam has 1.8 billion. Here is my source: http://www.pewforum.org/Christian/Global...-exec.aspx 2. I asked how you knew that Muhammed was completely honest, as obviously he has motivation to lie for prestige. I already explained why the Koran saying he's honest is not proof. (Circular logic) You also say that eye-witnesses count as proof, but they do not- for Xtianity has many thousands of "eye-witnesses" for many things, as do aliens. Do you believe in both the Christian god and aliens? (The kind that appear to be little green men.) Btw, this is the fifth time I've asked Zakir to answer these points. SO far he has ignored me or evaded the question every time. Let's see how long he can continue to do so. . . What falls away is always, and is near.

My mistake, I hereby formally admit that some of my information was likely wrong. Upon searching for more sources, I discovered that the Muslim world population passed the Christian population some time in 2011, according to most censuses. Some claim otherwise, but most state that the Muslim population is now higher.
The study I linked was from 2010, so it is outdated. However, as I said earlier, the group's population has no bearing on the validity of its claims. What falls away is always, and is near.

These three (recent) pages seem to agree that islam is second.

Christianity is still the biggest religion but Islam is closing in. Heres a link for proof that Islam is growing. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/27...-projects/ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1QY-0rUmjQ
Anyway, back to the topic. Here is a reply to those who think Quran is in error. Source: http://islamic-replies.ucoz.com/2/Quran_...Light.html |
