No it isn't just you.
I see "advertisement for minor political party" and cringe ...but as it is not in my neck of the planet I feel that I am unable to offer any input.

Why do atheist's need a national party? Atheism has nothing to do with politics. Atheists don't always share the same political views, so it doesn't make sense to me either, but then again, I might just not understand what it's all about.

Maybe its a single-issue party like the green party or the free soil party. Maybe it focuses on preventing legislation that teach alternative theory or creation science in science class of public school.... Though i would change the name. I will try to not pass any judgement or comment until I know what its all about. That is just me keeping an open mind

Agreed. Fundies screw up by coming here and announcing that atheism too is a religion. What they should say is that, like religious nuts, atheists can be close minded, narrow, stupid and beset with magical thinking. I could give them an amen for that. Too bad their thinking is so closed, narrow, stupid and magical to realize how properly to attack us.

Atheists exist of all the political spectrum, there are people here left and right, the only thing in common is that we don't let a god idea (or dogmas associated) interfere with our reasoning. So, its a bit absurd the idea of an atheist political party.
I dunno why you were banned, perhaps you came across as a spammer, perhaps you did sock-puppet, but I really fail to see what is the point of you whining about it here.

I do think there should be an atheist party. I just think it shouldn't be called the "National Atheist Party", and should have a clear and coherent message. :S
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

What message apart from "There (probably) aren't any gods" is there? What you want is a secularism party, something even (some) believers might be able to get behind.

Why not just join Citizens United for Separation of Church & State or the Freedom From Religion Foundation? They've already got some political pull even though they're not political parties. You can still be Democrat, Republican (though I have no idea why), Libertarian, or Independent but still support secularism.
And I do agree that "National Atheists Party" does sound a bit too much like NSDAP. We already have Christians claiming that Hitler was an atheist, so we don't need anything else trying to tie us in to the Nazis.
And I do agree that whining about being banned over there does no good over here. Not like we could do anything about it.

While we're at, can we have a party for people that don't believe in bigfoot?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Don't you bring that blasphemy in here! BLASPHEMER!!! Bigfoot is the one true god! If you'd only open your heart to Bigfoot, you'd see that Bigfoot really does exist. If you don't believe in Bigfoot, he's going to stomp your ass down to HELL! And I'll be laughing as you're burning in Hell for all eternity while I'm sitting at the right hand of Bigfoot.
