That everything was meant to be just as it is once again demonstrates God's omnipotence. Way to nail it, God.

God - Playing Mind Games with Believers

Well at least he's admitting that there are contradictions and evil acts of God in the bible instead of the usual attempts of Christians at sugar coating or twisting logic around until there's no contradiction in their minds.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Yep, he'd better be careful though how widely he opens the lid on the box he's in. Reasonableness can spread. RE: God - Playing Mind Games with Believers

You see, like a retailer endlessly advertising and pushing a really shitty product in your face, pastors can't just come out and admit their desert tribal God is evil while preaching. Just because they're selling "holy-shit", doesn't mean we're buying. A sad fact of life though is that there's a sucker born every minute and like crooked sellers, the church ministers will take them for all they're worth. The glaring problem with his reasoning is that he now has licensed himself to pick and choose not only any part of the Bible he deems to be true but also to make the claim that if you don't agree with him, that you're obviously not one of the truly faithful who knows which parts are truly evil and which parts are righteous. It's utter horse shit. I find his particular take on the evils of the Bible to be the most repulsive yet because it allows him the "privilege" of judge and jury on even the slightest disagreement with not only outsiders but his fellow believers. Disgusting! His parishioners have seriously got to be a special class of mindless sheep all their own.
