The Romans crucified thousands of people but we're not told that in the bible nor in school religious teachings. We're lead to believe only Jesus and the two robbers met such a fate. I wonder why

Maybe that's because those who authored the myths didn't actually give a shit about who or how many the romans crucified, which is to say, they didn't really give a shit about the suffering man inflicted upon other men, only that they themselves might be able to rise to the status of "inflictor" someday by means of exploiting a superstitious and easily mislead group of people. Classic con. Before any member of the faithful jumps in with "but they really believed", no, "they" did not. Someone in the chain of myth did not believe. Someone who wrote these things as though they were firsthand accounts knew exactly what they were doing. Someone decided that "I've heard it said that" wasn't good enough, instead deciding to scribble "I saw" on the page. Fuck that guy and the horse he rode in under.
