Only men are qualified to discuss birth control
Once again the religious right rears its ugly tyranical head in the name of "religious freedom"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m79BcJ4v...ploademail

If this was an all woman panel discussing wether women have the right to decide if a man she is sleeping with should be sterilized or not...well...could you imagine the level of outrage that would come from it?

I would be mad as hell. EXACTLY as mad as hell as I am at this "panel" right now. It is the womans body, it is the womans womb, and men (especially politicians and religious leaders) have no fucking business doing such a thing.

If this was a panel of doctors who were gyno's discussing health issues dealing with female birth control, it would be a COMPLETELY different matter. This panel seeks to remove liberty in the name of liberty, and they say not a single female has the "credintials" to sit on the panel.

ASSHOLES the lot of them.

I laughed when they said they couldn't find a suitable woman.

*afterthought... They are really doing a fantastic job of driving women (who are the ones who teach the young) away from religion... and away from their political party...

Maybe we should "baptize them" honorary atheists??

NAH!!

It's sad that in America, "religious freedom" sometimes trumps actual freedom.
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

I agree with you here Rev, this is a women's issue and should have a woman's voice. This is government bureacracy at it's best.
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

According to the Republicans, religious freedom means the freedom to impose your religion on others regardless of what they want.

Well, they don't pander to any woman who isn't subservient to a man because the bible says so, so in this case, they are driving the others away that they don't even want. The scary thing is that there are still plenty of women voters in their chosen demographic.
