Hearing someone else talking about beer doesn't make me want to hurt them (and might even make me want beer myself).
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Beer freaks don't knock on my door to tell me the good news about beer.
Not that I would mind, as long as they brought samples. 
No one ever tried to make me feel,ashamed of myself for not wanting a beer.
Nailing one to a stick is a lot more dramatically messy.

Nice rescue. Clearly I overthought it. Or underthought it. I didn't apply the correct amount of thought, is basically my point.

On the other hand, nailing beer to a stick is a waste of a perfectly good beer.
Also a perfectly good stick. Not to mention the nails.
