Quote:Lorax movie defies Biblical principles - In a liberal attack on Genesis 1:28, the animated 3-D feature based on the Dr. Seuss book claims that any use of forests would inevitably result in a scorched-earth policy to keep up with demand. (Washington Times, 3/3/12)
The film ignores basic conservation principles, such as forest management and wise use.

According to this site, Dr. Seuss is an anti-biblical communist that you should keep your children from.

Quote:"Children often have a big problem understanding how dinosaurs fit with Creation and the Bible.

Apparently children are born knowing much and gradually have it stomped out of them by asshole fundies.

The fundie goal is to make their children as stupid as they are!

I am laughing thinking about how someone like him would probably react if he caught an atheist giving his child "The Magic of Reality" XD

Hey, don't let my humble review stop you. If I said it was Mystery Science Theater level bad that might be a reason to go see it (and it is).
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Whenever I jump into an argument with an idiot, I wonder how such absurd tales are tossed around as fact, now I know... You have to get the hook in them while they're young, and what better way (or more devious way) than to do it with dinosaurs!

My heart weeps for the generation.

Rhythm, I feel your pain! You know I do. Here are some good dinosaur books for your child:

http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaur-Museum-Un...985&sr=1-7

http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaur-Bones-Bob...51&sr=1-56

http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaur-Priddy-Bo...02&sr=1-25

http://www.amazon.com/Fossil-Factory-Din...02&sr=1-36

http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-Complete...51&sr=1-60

You could just buy him one a month or so, and then maybe that piece of shit book can get lost, or maybe meet the same unfortunate fate as your Scarlett Letter. You never know.

Wink

My kids have Dinosaur Bones, and they love it. They also have My Big Dinosaur Book, and they loved it, especially when they were younger. Sorry your father-in-law is a dumbass.
