How do you walk and chew gum at the same time?

Excuse me if I am out of line, I want to be helpfull and am obvously new to the forums. I just want to clear up any misconceptions people have about Christianity.

Bible tells you to give respect anyway. This is a really shitty way to start a thread but it is an excellent example of the way Christians cherry pick from the bible.

The bible says not such thing. It says if someone is to strike you, to turn the other cheeck - thus IGNORING the person. I never said that if you flame me I'll flame you back, but I may not show you the same repect I would show others. There's a difference Smile

It also says repay evil with blessing you fucking retarded shithead. Stop your cherry picking bullshit. It isn't gonna fly with anyone besides Christian assholes.

See, now you're swearing and flaming. Do not expect a response from me until you show me some respect.

Fuck your respect, you lie to me about what the bible says so why do you expect me to respect you? Scroll down in my signature and you will see what I feel about idiots that don't use reason.

Did you really expect anything else?

Get in line behind the sheep?
(or is it a one way exchange frods?)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Ask the Christian
Why do Christians think we need to ask them questions? Hell I used to be a Christian for the first 30 years of my life, atheist for the past 10. I know plenty about Christianity, and in fact I think I learned more since being an atheist than when I was an unquestioning, blindly-believing Christian.

Perhaps he can tell us how to stop putting so much stock in what we think as puny humans so that we can seek the guidance of the shepherd of us all?

RE: Ask the Christian
As the newest resident heretic, I advise you to search the threads for statements you feel contradict your articles of faith and respond accordingly. To identify yourself as Christian is too vague. No one knows if you are Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Calvinist, Evangelical or other. I can tell you that most objections to faith fall into the typical categories: scriptural contradictions, the problem of evil, the multiplicity religions, support for the neo-Darwinist interpretation and material naturalism. Occam’s razor and falsifiability figure largely in the discussions. Plus you’ll find some who wonder why they should even care about the issue.

Does it matter? They all have exactly the same problem. No evidence.

Why do you believe in Christianity and not any other religion?
What reason do you have to believe in jesus Christ and follow him and not follow Thor, Zeus, Mishra, Mithras or the any of a hundred other gods from different religions known to Man?
