I have no respect for the beliefs of those people in general, and specifically I have no respect for those who would argue for this or that piece of this or that myth as reality, or just, or righteous, or what have you. Nobodies getting an unfair shake there. I've considered their beliefs, and I get to decide whether or not they are worthy of my respect, because it is mine and mine alone to give. I withhold my determination of whether or not the people themselves deserve that same respect until they open their mouths.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'm fine with that.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

I have respect for many folks of many religions. I, however, often find that I have endlessly more respect for them than they have for me. I feel as though the monotheistic religions generally practice discrimination, disrespect, or even violence against non-religious folks based solely on their lack of religion. Atheists generally say that religious folks can be good people, despite their often compartmentalized superstitions. On the other hand I find that Christians and Muslims particularly often say that atheists cannot be good people.
