And you're an aggressive, discourteous ignoramus. Judging from all of the replies that you have made thus far, you come across an arrogant idiot who takes pleasure from endeavouring to annoy people. I strongly suggest that we avoid each other on this discussion forum.

I did not attack you personally."You speak ex rectum" was simply a vulgar way of saying "your argument is nonsense" and meant more in humour than as an insult. Made only after I had shown why your argument was nonsense. You chose to get your panties in a bunch rather than address my argument.

Arrogant? Certainly. Aggressive? You bet, especially towards people l do not respect. Discourteous? To the deserving,I do my best. Idiot? Well,I actually have quite a high IQ. Ignoramus?. Compared with you? By all means,if it reinforces your illusion of superiority.

In terms of my personality; I freely admit I 'm a nasty, pompous, arrogant, intolerant old fart who does not suffer fools.--and you Sunshine are a pure D fool. Tiger

I will continue to respond to any post you make as I see fit, within the rules...

The minute people here whose opinion I value agree that I an idiot and an ignoramus, I will leave without comment.

Yeah, and generally an intro thread is seen as a courteous thing to do, especially if the post you just made has a distasteful attitude about it.

Okay Padraic, we're 1 - 1 for attacking each other's character. I believe it would be futile (and draining) to continue upon this course.

I will be honest with you, I strongly dislike people engaging in mockery over my mental health issues; it is downright callous and immature behaviour. Presumably you're utterly ignorant, as most people are, to mental illness?

As regards your disagreement with my postings on this thread, I believe that my assertions are based on sound logic and reason. I am quite happy to engage in courteous dialogue and discussion with you; however, I have no tolerance for abrupt character assassination.

I suggest that we call a truce. Although we dislike and disrespect each other at present, we might grow to like each other eventually.

Seriously OP Logic,....

I read the topic title "The Immense Power of Christianity" ... and all you come up with is:
• Gregorian / Western Calendar
• Christmas
• Easter Holidays
• Typical Weddings
• Typical Funerals
• Egocentric and self-righteous (borderline narcissistic) attitudes.

Is that the most power of the Catholic church in england? ... If so ... Hell I go live there right now.
Xmas is an adaptation from a heathen old days celebration. Funerals? You know that ppl have that odity that they die from time to time... you know?

And what is wrong with weddings? Ppl wed in every culture around the world. Specify the inmense power of the church on this.

Where do you see the inmensepower of the church of england or the catholic church in all this? Because from what ive read so far the only impact your post made for me personal,... was the cool title.

P.S.
Not to mention that the calendar has a scientific background too. Many scientific ppl worked on its perfection. Who gives a fck these days where it came from? Are you proposing we should go and use a new calendar?

I can see what you're saying. Obviously my original posting did not include detailed expositions regarding the true power of the Christian denominations in UK. I was actually referring to the immense perception power that Christianity has over the general public. For instance, I believe "soft" Christianity is highly prevalent in the UK.

That is not my observation.

I get what you give. Up to when you attacked me personally, I had attacked only your arguments and your behaviour.

As far as your mental health issues; I'm truly sorry for your suffering. However, I will continue to respond to what you say,(or not) making no allowances.

I will however,do my best to less blunt.
