There are various historical references to him. Not that many though, so it does raise some interesting questions. I personally think he existed, but like a lot of great teachers during that time, a load of stuff was made up about him after he died.

There are references and most of them are from biased Christian sources. Where is the evidence though? Anyway, most of the references are either biased or they are too late to distinguish between Jesus and Christianity.

For someone that did a great deal of miracles, or even 'party tricks' that got amped up, I find it suspicious that no one of his time had the slightest thing to say about him.
