Origin of Species

RE: Origin of Species
Puts it just a little bit out of my price range, I'm not a first edition guy, but if I ever strike it rich.....lol....
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Origin of Species
I always found it amusing that so many creatards did not understand that Darwin was one of them:

Quote:Authors of the highest eminence seem to be fully satisfied with the view that each species has been independently created. To my mind it accords better with what we know of the laws impressed on matter by the Creator, that the production and extinction of the past and present inhabitants of the world should have been due to secondary causes, like those determining the birth and death of the individual.

He merely dismissed their particular poetic fairy tale notion of creation which, as is always true of religious nuts, is enough to earn their enmity.

Of course, we have come a long way since Darwin and now understand that creationism is the exclusive province of the terminally stupid.

Once, a long time ago, but meh its out-of-date now anyway, its gradually becoming a history book and I already have an abundance of computer science, law and biology books well past their sell-by date and long out of print as it is.

He de-converted towards the end of his life like most rational minds who care whether their core beliefs are supported or not.

Its trying to get the pious pisstakers to understand that Hitler was one of them is the hard part. Smile

Yep - Hitler was one shitty atheist.

Aye, and that clown invokes the No True Scotsman Fallacy on such a regular basis that going by his standards and criteria no one is an American or religious except him or those who agree with him.
