If this is the case then "Godvine" or the local news created this "miracle" by not reporting all the facts. Miracles are more sensational.

BTW I get a lot of posts from Godvine from my fundy friends and relatives. Most of it isn't worth sharing. I think I will piss them off by mentioning the water pressure thing. Wish me luck. Hee, hee.

Dammit, I forgot to do this. Of course if I did they might come back with the usual bs about god testing her faith, blah, blah, blah.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

There's no need to get out of hand and push the matter further on them by questioning God's motives. Giving them a reasonable answer as to how she escaped is already going to leave them wondering.

True. Sometimes its fun to just drop little logic packets and watch them try to fathom it.

It's tempting, but I think it does more harm than good. At least in my experience I felt like the atheist was coming across as ignorant and the fact that they were asking all these questions showed that they weren't taking the time to process what I had said but instead had their fingers in their ears.

Instead if we just give them one answer per question then both sides know where the discussion is at. But yes, I know what you mean!!

You can have a few of mine. I've got some real wack jobs. Even when I was a theist I thought they were crazy.

They said she was pulled from the front not the back door, they also said the man reached through the window and pulled her free. Question is how did the window go down then close again when the electrical systems could not operate after the battery went under the water, dead short, nothing should work. This is an interesting event, not sure if it's a miracle by God, but as far as I can tell it is mysterious.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Clearly the man was reaching just beneath him which must mean it was the back door, as the front door was a good 2 metres below him by then.

Yes, the battery was dead. Logically we can conclude the windows couldn't have opened. So the conclusion must be that she opened the door.
