I didn't ignore it. I just didn't bother commenting on it. For one thing, I am not well versed enough in the historical aspects to make an informed rebuttal off the top of my head. I'll leave that to people like Min.

What I do know for sure is that the bibles are full of contradictions, so that's what I commented on. As for the rest, it seems as if you (like most of your ilk), are grasping at straws in an attempt to validate your book of mythology. I've seen it enough times to recognize it when I see it.

My dear friend, why don't you, for once, ignore your own biased interpetations and see the Bible for what it was meant to be ... the word of God.

Why don't you follow my advice and shove the bible and your god up your ass and if you continue to proselytize, you will be reported.

Suetonius records the expulsion of the Christian Jews from Rome (mentioned in Acts 18:2) and confirms the Christian faith being founded by Christ.

THALLUS (~ 52 A.D.)

Thallus' explanation of the midday darkness which occurred during the Passover of Jesus' crucifixion. Thallus tries to dismiss the darkness as a natural occurrence (a solar eclipse) but Africanus argues (and any astronomer can confirm) a solar eclipse cannot physically occur during a full moon due to the alignment of the planets.

CELSUS (~ 178 A.D.)

He went to great lengths to disprove the divinity of Jesus yet never denied His actual existence.

Then we have the account of Jesus Christ in The Bible!

The Bible is a collection of 66 books (39 Old Testament, 27 New Testament) written over a period of 1500 years by approximately 40 different authors about creation, history, prophecy and Gods plan for all of creation.

This fact is a miracle ALL by itself!
You have yet to produce contemporary accounts of jc's life.

Here's a list of bible contradictions.....

I dare you to refute them.

Copyist error.

Odd don't you think? Your god can not only mastermind the composition and cohesion of 40+ authors over 1000+ years but he can create all life and an entire universe in only six days .... and yet ............. he can't seem to keep the uninspired copy editors from screwing up his divine word.

If I were you --- I'd be saying something like, "Common god! Get your shit together. You're making us look bad!"

There were lots of different versions of the early bible, they were different because of error or tampering to either make a point or to make the bible more sensible or to convey some prejudice on the part of the scribe.
The bible displayed every sign of being written by commitee over a long period.
I posted a very scholarly you tube lecture on his subject on this very site, seek and you shall find.

So the argument is that the bible has no errors except for the errors?

No matter what kind of error you do admit that it has errors. Correct?

Conclusion time: If the bible has errors of any kind then it cannot be infallible.

I am not proselytizing. Did I ask you to worship Him? And aren't you proselytizing in a way too (asking me to shove something up my ass). Looks like you believe in shoving things.

I have the utmost respect for moderators here. If they don't ban you for continuously using disrespectful remarks and complete disregard for etiquettes of communication, I don't think they will ban me for poitely asking you to consider both sides to the argument.
