Transitory species

Transitory species
I can't speak for anyone else, but I tire of hearing claims that there are no transitory species to support the theory of biological evolution.

Know of such a species? Particularly one that is extant? Post it here.

My contribution for the day: Meet the Galápagos Marine Iguana.

Wikipedia Wrote:The Marine Iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) is an iguana found only on the Galápagos Islands that has the ability, unique among modern lizards, to live and forage in the sea, making it a marine reptile. The Iguana can dive over 30 ft (10 m) into the water. It has spread to all the islands in the archipelago, and is sometimes called the Galápagos Marine Iguana. It mainly lives on the rocky Galápagos shore, but can also be spotted in marshes and mangrove beaches.

I just picked up a copy of The Greatest Show on Earth as I'm wanting to expand my knowledge on evolution. I'm sure there's some in there...

There is some. Not his best book on evolution though.
