Good advice everyone. I just need to find a way to cope with my fear of death and enjoy what is here now. It normally doesnt bother me. This is the second time in my life it has.
I have everything in the world to be happy about. Young, healthy, have a good life, yet at the same time i'm sad about dying one day and all the beauty and mystery being gone to me. It seems sad but is that only because I am here now to percieve that it will be a sad state? Yet will it not be sad because I wont exist to be sad about it. I just cant wrap my brain around the fact that I wont be able to percieve that im not percieveing anymore/that state of non existance.

Well, look at this way, if you spend all of your time brooding on death, you're wasting the time you have. Also, none of us can say with 100% certainty what happens when you die, so you'll just have to wait for that.
In all seriousness, though, therapy could help you. None of the advice here can legitimately take into account the process that your brain uses to feed these fears. A therapist can help you divert that thought process through CBT. If it gets bad, that is your best course of action. Professionals are always better than strangers on the internet.

If you're that afraid of death, embrace all the religions. Cover all your bases. Makes sure that all the gods are appeased. Most importantly, make sure you hate everyone equally ... and you sir will have nothing to worry about. One of 'ems gotta be right ... right?
Worrying about death is such a stupid waste of a life. If you had some terminal cancer and knew exactly how long you had to live,
you'd be out trying to enjoy as much of life as possible instead of wasting time contemplating such ass-hattery.

My parents said the same thing; don't waste your life crying about dying.
I might go seek a therapist. Hopefully he/she will be able to better explain my exact thought process and how to deal with it.

Well, I would not say it quite like that. You can spend your life however you see fit, but it is good to know what you are missing. That is a good impetus to start changing it.
Yes, and if he or she does not, see a different therapist.

It is totally a good theory I've herd before. If god isn't real you have nothing to loose, but I feel like you'de waste your life chasing pipe dreams. Also all the religions throw that; worship only their god clause, onto their made up rules.

To be honest, there have been times when I have been jealous of people who can delude themselves into thinking there is a pleasant parent figure waiting for them to croak so they can spend eternity in a nice, happy place. However, you can't force yourself into believing this stuff. You'll have to find comfort in the things that you do believe.
