Brewing a miracle.

Brewing a miracle.
So what does it take for God to perform a miracle so that people may bear testimony to his glory? I always seemed to be looking the wrong way so all I could ever do was share my hearsay about miracles. It's rather strange that God didn't want to put on a show for his own people no?

You have to REEEAAALLLYY broaden your definition of what a miracle actually is. Once you do that you'll be amazed by all the "miracles" you see every day.

For example: If you pray for sunshine and it doesn't rain ... VOILA!! Miracle!

of course it's not..
Anything that would provide a man with actual evidence of its existence would be just too simple and direct. **facepalm**

Mainly what it takes are a group of people who are stupid enough to believe in "miracles."

We call these stupid people "believers."

Signs and wonders/miracles are proof that you do not understand what you have seen. That is it.

First we are to have faith and develop a relationship with God, then we get to see God working directly in our lives. These would be considered to be a sign or a wonder by someone who do not know God, but for the believe it is considered to be the hand of God. Not a "miracle."

Translation: First you have to brainwash and delude yourself to such an extent that you are no longer able to differentiate between fantasy and reality. Then everything that happens to you can seem like godidit.

How can you have "a relationship" with a being that never appears or interacts with you? According to what you believe, I could have "a relationship" with George Washington.

Quote: then we get to see God working directly in our lives.

You mean that once you believe this nonsense, you get to ascribe everyday occurrences to some deity.

"I saw a rabbit on my way home! It was obviously god's way of sending me a message!"

Quote: These would be considered to be a sign or a wonder by someone who do not know God,

Occam's razor.

Quote: but for the believe it is considered to be the hand of God.

It's amazing what nonsense you can accept as real when you've been indoctrinated.
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

You only "see" these things because you want to see them.

I did not say never. Just rarly if ever before you make the first effort.

No.

This statement presupposes that "we" only see things we wish to ascribe to God.
