Luke 19:38 ... "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD;
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
39 And some of the Pharisees in the multitude said to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."
40 And He answered and said, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!"
God will never let the Gospel of Christ go silent, period.

So, your answer to "what would happen" is "it would not happen"? Intellectual dishonesty ftw.

It is highly apparent that you can not conceive what you read, that is if you read at all.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

But surely that is not to be taken literally - stones can't talk.

Most of the owners don't read the fucking thing, though.

In reality: Few would notice in so-called Christian countries. The remaining majority of mankind would notice nothing.

A great many believers seem to still be suffering from delusions of relevance.

I did this one already:
http://atheistforums.org/thread-11941.html

Basically when "we" stop evangalizing or there aren't any more people to evanglize to. (Because "evidence and reason" have taken tham all away) The cup of man's inquity will be full, thus ushering in the end of days.

So "other."

There's a word for people who read the Bible cover-to-cover. That word is atheist.

It's the best tool we've got in primarily-Christian areas to turn people into atheists.

IF all of "Christianity" "went on strike" then by nature it would die. It wouldn't even "die out", which implies some sort of slow fading, it would be instantly dead at the very moment that people stopped practicing their religion and all that it entails.

But funnily enough, that has never happened. Not even for the earliest and formative centuries of Christianity wherein Christians were relentlessly persecuted, or any time since where Christianity has been banned, outlawed, etc. Christianity doesn't "go on strike" no matter how dire things become. Call that divine intervention or call it human will, either way.

Also if you attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for 4 years in a row, you will have read almost the entirety of Scripture.
Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.

Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.

Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.

pick up a book.
Talking snake tricks the first woman into eating 'knowledge fruit' when the all powerful all knowing being isn't looking.
All loving God curses all of humans for this mistake.
First man lives 900 years after that.
Flood kills everything and everyone everywhere.
Zombie scapegoat God/man gets tortured as a way to forgive us.
