Quote:Well, you can talk all you want if you are convinced of his non-existence.
Unconvinced of his existence is more accurate.
Quote:As I said. If you don't believe that he exists, all is good. But those who do, are doing just what they have to do in that regard.
They do what they do, just as long as it doesn't affect me. No such thing as a god from my point of view, and so no reason to fear it. He has no power over me, for he is simply a human concept, nothing more.
Quote:Well, others are not relevant, but God is.
The opposite is true for me. Seeing as people exist and god does not.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Dangerous words, friend. Does this mean that you can be convinced of his existence?

Well, that is it. But if he did exist, he would have power over you even if you believed in him or not.

Fair enough.

If there is evidence for his existence, yeah.

The same can be said for Hades, Thor, Odin, Zeus or any kind of fictional being. That doesn't mean we should worry about it. They're just crazy religious beliefs. Claims from religious men. Fearing god is like fearing the invisible dragon in the sky. It's very very irrational.

I guess this is the least that can be expected from God, if a mortal illusionist can do this by means of hypnosis.
And if he could actually manipulate my will like that, my self-esteem and integrity would be as meaningless as yours is right now. Since it is not so easily manipulated, I guess your god is impotent after all.

Warn away. If I see a dog not only coming to heel once his master snaps his fingers but asking others to do the same, I would not refrain form calling him a coward.

It's already meaningless in front of God, a being that is superior than everything in the universe.

Oh. Maybe one day I'll drink to these words after I bury your corpse.

Its not meaningless in front of me, which is all that matters.

how exactly can you say that god is superior to everything in the universe without even being able to prove it exists? in light of that, I have just invented a giant chimeric bird-octopus-dog that is infinitely superior to everything in the universe. but you can't disprove it because i believe in it and it's outside of the univers. [/endsarcasm]
Furthermore, don't get rowdy, respect his beliefs, I know your state doesn't condone that but open-mindedness is truly the gift of nature to humanity ^-^

Death threats? Certainly not. Just a warning on what kind of people you might meet in the future, to whom you should be watching your words.
For me, there are only two kinds of insults. Being called a traitor, and being called a coward. I'm sure that there are people out there who will take this as an insult which will result in the demise of your worthless existence.

So basically, your kind of people - subhuman creatures whose existence is lower that worms - those who have given up on the most noble of human endeavors, the practice of rationality. Yes, I avoid interaction with such creatures as far as possible - unless they say something I don't like in my presence.

I bet you'd just turn tail and run if they insulted your mother.
