God is almost omnipotent. He has many limits.

By that definition, everything is God; all things are able to do the things which are within their nature & defining qualities. This apologetic is absolute fail.

On the point 'there's a difference between the definition of Allmighty and Omnipotent'... there isn't. 'Omni' translates as 'All' and 'Potent' as 'Mighty'. They're exactly the same thing.

It's all in the nuances, I'm sure. Believing is seeing, after all.

The nuance is god told him to retreat from any rigor and embrace any obsurdity in order to believe in god.

Big Grin Do you honestly think out of all who have searched for God, all found nothing as you have?

Have any of those who found nothing cared to look as God has instructed?

If a "god" need to instruct me on how to find him, then he is no god. He could be but a fraud needing to lead the gullible to the con.

No, but then those who searches for god can't tell when there is no god even if no god is staring them in the face.

Do you think if you scrupulously follow the instructions set out by a con man for the purposes of conning you, you would avoid being conned?

The truth is those instruction are pretty fucking shabby, and it takes a inveterate and disgracefully gnorant moron to think they are anything but a very low class, long obsolete con job.

God tells us that He has hidden Himself away from those with a proud and haughty heart. Without following His instructions no one will find Him.

That is why it is possiable for you to go thrugh the motions of looking and find all that you have found. I can show you where to look if you are interested.

If you could be bothered to take the time to read some of my other post you will see this discussion is not about definations, but how you understand them to be applied to God.

That's because the con man doesn't want his con investigated, nor want potential victims to take an independent path, for that would allow them to escape the maw of the con.

Its always the same shit with you isn't it? People have looked -in precisely the way they are advised to look- and found nothing. Others look and find something. Neither outcome has much to say about any god. If you were capable of showing anyone anything don't you think that you'd have done so by now Drich?

(it's interesting to note that this claim is bullshit on a few levels btw- you have no idea how sincerely others have searched, and are incapable of determining the proper way to search in the first place)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The "you have to believe to be believed" rubbish is getting tiresome. Christians have nothing better, and yet they stand amazed when people tell them to go pack sand.
