RE: The trinity
Right, and you are an expert on when we should think we understand the bible and when we should take it for what it is. Now, when it comes to our deciding on those moments, should we have another level of consideration regarding whether we should ask for help from biased sources or just read the damned thing on our own and realize it is an outdated, simplistic, contradictory mishmash of borrowed flotsam and jetsam amassed to give substance to a religion that had little going for it without a storybook?

LOL.

Really? Including all those contradictions and absurdities?

Quote:I see no reason to doubt it,

I see no reason to believe it true.

Quote:I do not change my mind because others do not see the truth.

And why do you believe the Bible to be true? I'll bet it's because you were raised to believe it's true. In which case, if you had been born in Pakistan you would be fanatical about the Koran. If you had been born in India you would be convinced of the truth of the Rigveda. You see, what you believe to be true is dependent upon where you were born and the beliefs of those around you. The Babble is no more true than Grimm's Fairy Tales. Unless, of course, you have evidence to indicate otherwise....
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

Absolutely. Or to put it another way - "midichlorians".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

So 3 deities doesn't mean polytheism and equality doesn't mean equality. Thank you. Wacky

Someone else take over. I'm done.

I maintain these prequels are non-canonical. Wink

hang on a sec .... Bwahahahaha!!! ....ok ok continue:

Quote:as a matter of fact there are Christian groups working to help children pull out of sex slavery, that unbelievers around the world support, as a matter of fact slavery in one form or another is larger than any time in US history.

Too bad your missionaries keep getting nailed for molesting the natives huh. Also, the follow up statement is very deceptive. Slavery may indeed be higher in other parts of the world but not in the US - so mentioning US history is pointless.

Quote:All of today's slavery is supported by unbelievers,

hang on hang on ... Bwahahahaha!!! ... just cause they don't believe your false god, doesn't mean they don't believe in some other false god. Religious dick bags are most often the most perverse little disgusting pedophiles on the planet.

Quote:Christians around the world are working to put an end to it. So you see it is the unbelievers who have never let slavery die out, shame on the unbelieving.

Where'd you get this little bit of trivia? Your pastor? The idiot evangelist that visited your church last week? Unprovable and utterly ridiculous.

Quote:As for stoning children Christians have never practiced it, neither has the Jewish nation...

They do however preach it and praise the mauling of disrespectful children by bears.
Quote:I've explained this so many times I've given up on you all being able to comprehend, for some reason it just goes right over your heads, I find this to be puzzling since you all claim intelligence.

Don't feel to bad about not being able comprehend us. Most theists do have a difficult time keeping up with us. It's to be expected of sheep.

Quote: I do not change my mind because others do not see the truth.

Even your god changed his mind. Are you better than your god?

Quote:There is no way any religion can be older than the One who created all things, this is impossible.

Untrue. Religions are made up by liars and frauds. All I have to do is tell you that my religion was around before your god ("the One") supposedly created the universe. Easy to do when your god's universe has only been around for 8000 years. See my point here big fella?? The religions of the world are lies, therefore I can make it whatever the hell I want it to be -- 40 billion years, and 3 universes old if I care to.

oh and by the way, regarding "the One" ....... [Image: smiley_laughing.gif]

@ Welsh cake you stated that Undeceived was here to save the lost and if he was not here for that purpose he would go to hell.

Wc Wrote:You're supposed to be doing your god's work aren't you? Are you not representations of Jesus and spreading his holy gospel and teachings? If not, why not?

Yes

Quote:Undeceived, myself or any Christian can not save anyone, that is the work of God, and if we do not try and witness here God will not send us to hell, we are doing the work that God has for us and I'm pretty sure that God has not let you in on what hat might be.

Wc[/quote Wrote:]I don't care whether I'm part of something or not, trust me, I won't send you to hell if you reject me. I'm not egomaniacal like your god. Its irrelevant in any case, but I'm curious to what your take on this is, so tell me, why has god not enlightened me on these matters? Or don't they matter at all?

It's because one rejects salvation one winds up in hell.
You are not a believer.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
